Plato Might Be the Reason You’re Still Stuck in Your Head
Before Socrates.
Before Plato.
There were humans who didn’t think about truth.
They entered it.
They weren’t philosophers in the way we understand today.
They were healers, prophets, and what we might now call magicians.
Not performing. Not explaining.
Becoming still enough to access what is real.
This is the world Peter Kingsley points us back to.
The Shift That Changed Everything
With Socrates, truth became something we question.
With Plato, truth became something we explain.
And slowly, almost invisibly, we moved from:
living truth → to → thinking about truth
Why This Matters For You
You don’t need more insight.
You already understand so much.
You’ve done the work.
You’ve read the books.
You can articulate your patterns.
And still…
Something isn’t shifting.
Because:
Insight is not transformation.
You can explain your trauma and still live inside it.
You can understand your patterns and still repeat them.
Before Philosophy Became Intellectual
Parmenides was not building theories.
He was taken into stillness.
In his writings, he describes being carried into another realm, into the presence of a goddess who stops him completely.
Not to think.
To be still.
And in that stillness, truth reveals itself directly.
Empedocles then lives what that looks like.
He teaches about the elements.
About love and separation as forces of life.
But more than that, he embodies a human who is no longer separate from reality.
He doesn’t study life.
He moves with it.
What Got Lost
When philosophy became intellectual, we gained clarity…
But we lost direct contact with truth.
And now we live in a world where people:
Understand everything
Feel disconnected
And wonder why nothing is changing
The Real Work
Not more thinking.
Not more processing.
Not more content.
The work is:
Learning how to be with what is real
Without leaving your body
Without escaping into your mind
A Simple Practice
Create space where nothing is happening.
No input. No distraction.
Stay.
Long enough to feel what you usually avoid.
And instead of explaining it…
be with it
This is where truth begins.
If You’re Ready
If you’ve been doing the work and still feel the gap…
This is the shift.
From awareness → to embodiment → to truth.
I don’t offer surface-level conversations.
If you feel this, I invite you into a real one.
A space where you can meet what is actually true for you.
Because truth is not something you figure out.
It’s something you become available to.
